Artist Statement: The Framing Nature is one of the pieces I made as part of my Crystal Cage Collection. A beautiful acate crystal is caged in gold plated brass with three, 1mm zirkonia gemstones. This piece is minimal yet exciting in a contemporary approach to a statement ring. It embodies nature captured in time and framed as the art it is by geometric forms inspired by architecture.

Artist Bio: As an autodidactic metalsmith, I try new things with every material I encounter. I am inspired by my work as a special effects makeup artist, film, theater, adornment, nature, architecture, the unaccounted for, the unusual. I love making a statement without words in all my fields of work and working with metal is no different.
